The History of the Estates

Claus Schlumberger was the first in the family to settle in Guebwiller in the 16th century, during the time of the Abbots of Murbach. He soon opposed the hegemony of said Abbots and moved to Mulhouse, a free city since the 14th century and aligned with Protestantism. Upon Claus's death, many Schlumbergers from Swabia came to settle in Mulhouse to work as tanners, like him. Over time, many generations of Schlumbergers followed, making it the most numerous family in Mulhouse by the 17th century.
Domaines Schlumberger is a 100% harvesting, family-run, artisanal, and environmentally friendly winery. It offers a very complete range of wines, naturally limited production, and targeted distribution.
